A custom table. Classical music. Soothing aromas.
I could be describing a meal at a fancy new restaurant. But I’m referring to the treatment room of a new beauty boutique that’s soon to be on everyone’s lips: Etiket.

The greystone at 1832 Sherbrooke St. West is officially a beauty destination. Upstairs, Dr. Yves Hébert has been providing Montrealers with esthetic treatments and surgery for over 20 years. Recently, his partner and manager Simon Tooley (fashion veteran for Anne Klein and Michael Kors) wanted to do something with the space below the clinic.

What about a luxury skincare shop and adjoining spa? Stepping into the boudoir-inspired boutique feels like a peek inside the dressing room of a Hollywood actress: filled with exclusive products, unique cosmetics and lush fragrances (including Penhaligon’s Bluebell, worn by Margaret Thatcher and used by Meryl Streep to get into character).
As I wandered around the store, must-have items include a tinted skin perfecting gel ($60) from per-fékt (my pores were invisible) and a moisturizing lip scrub ($30) from Sara Happ so effective, my winter-weary lips haven’t required balm for several days.

They offer a large variety of treatments, but ever eco-minded, I selected the Organic Facial ($110), a nourishing and protective treatment using 100% certified organic ingredients offering anti-aging properties. (Bring ‘em on.)
Both the esthetician, Paule Roussin, and the skincare line, Sacred Nature by Comfort Zone, were wonderful. After a gentle cleansing and exfoliation, a facial massage and moisturizing mask, I walked out of there with smooth, soft and rehydrated skin.
Next Etiket product on my must-try list: Glam Glow. (Hollywood actresses swear by it...)
