Kate's Gown Knocked Off, Celebs React to Osama News

lunchtime quickie: 5 links you'll lovecanada (May.02.11)

* You might not have three billion people tuning in to watch your wedding, but you can still feel like a princess by scoring a replica of Kate Middleton's McQueen stunner. Copycat specialists A.B.S. by Allen Schwartz have created a knockoff of the gorgeous gown and will auction it off to raise funds for a Multiple Sclerosis charity. [WWD

* It would seem a large number of those three billion Royal wedding-watchers (148,369 and counting) had their eyes trained not on the bride, but on the bride's sister's butt. Ladies and gentlemen, we give you the Pippa Middleton *ss Appreciation Society. [Facebook]

* Thank goodness for Twitter — otherwise, how would we know what celebrities think about the death of Osama bin Laden? From Charlie Sheen to Paris Hilton, the stars all put in their two cents. Our favourite has to be Steve Martin, who jokingly commented "Slow news day." [Radar Online]

* Proenza Schouler's Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez have announced the upcoming launch of their first costume jewellery line. The design duo told WWD that the collection will be classic and seasonless, with pieces being reprised regularly in new colours and materials. Is this the first step towards banishing "That's so last season" from our vernacular? [Refinery 29]

* After giving birth to twins (a boy and a girl) this weekend, Mariah Carey renewed her wedding vows with hubby Nick Cannon in their hospital room on Sunday.  Both Cannon and the Reverend Al Sharpton, who presided over the ceremony,  tweeted about the event. We're betting the twins already have their own Twitter accounts, too. [The Hollywood Reporter]
