J.Lo Defends Her Boy Toy and Duchess Kate is Thrifty

lunchtime quickie: 4 links you'll lovecanada (Jan.19.12)

* Jennifer Lopez hasn't officially confirmed her relationship with dancer Casper Smart — who happens to be 18 years younger than the pop superstar — but she did re-tweet a message he posted on Twitter that read, "Age, status, n opinions of others are irrelevant. Our hearts are endless and our souls infinite."  [People.com]

* Kate Middleton proved once again that she's no spoiled princess by hunting for bargains in the January sales. While shopping in London's Chelsea neighbourhood this week, she perused the racks of new spring clothes but only purchased a deeply discounted grey wool sweater. Hey Kate, you're a duchess now. It's okay to indulge every once in a while.   [USmagazine.com]

* The California-based No Cussing Club is asking ABC to pull an upcoming episode of Modern Family in which a toddler appears to drop an F-bomb — but she's actually just mispronouncing the word "fudge." Sounds pretty fudgeing funny to us. [Yahoo]

Speaking of cussing, have you heard of "Huxtable parenting?" Blogger Drew Magary's tips on raising children may be interspersed with swear words, but the man does make a lot of sense. [The Globe and Mail]
