For the few (okay, many) of us who aren't planning a trip to Egypt this winter-that fits right into the fantasy-over-reality section of our To Do list-a trip to an Egyptian-themed spa is about as close to the pyramids we can expect to get.
Enter Nefér Spa, Coal Harbour's new luxury spa inspired by ancient Egyptian treatments for anti-aging and natural wellness. Founder Nina Gart, a certified aesthetician, massage therapist and Reiki master (she started the Stone Therapy School), has introduced rare and exclusive indulgences fit for pharaohs-and us.
We treated ourselves to the Dead Sea Body Exfoliation ($165) and Nefér Raindrop Therapy ($195/75 minutes) massage using hot stones and essential oils. Next visit, we'll be making time for the Vino Quench ($275), a three hour Vinoterapia body wrap and pedicure combo using, you guessed it, red wine and essential oils.
We've taken the trip to Egypt off our holiday wish lists, now that we can indulge in a Pyramid of Pleasures ($435) instead. It includes a Chocolate Body wrap, featuring a moisturizing blend of cocoa beans, shells and powder, a Vinoterapia pedicure and the signature Nefér caviar facial.
Who needs a plane ride when never-Nefér land is so close?
