Marvelous Massage

We don’t always do as our trainer recommends and stretch after every workout. For some reason, lying next to Mr. Sweaty on a smelly gym mat doesn’t rank high on our To Do List.

And now that Lana Thomas from Mingle & Melt has decided to bring home her mobile massage and healing touch services, we’re definitely walking past the communal stretch area and getting on a massage table instead.

We started feeling relaxed as soon as we entered her candle-lit room. Then we learned the real meaning of relaxation with an hour-long holistic massage ($70). (According to Lana, our sacral chakra needed some release; and here we were thinking it was just too many lunges.) We added a hot stone therapy ($80 with massage) to really melt the tension away.

The detox body wrap ($100) is a to-do for our next visit, but for now we’re picking up Lana’s homemade lathering bath tea salts ($20). Made with essential oils and powdered milk, they make the perfect at-home soak (and another way to save ourselves from those smelly mats…).
