We barely have time to stop and smell the roses. Who can fit in the gym when everything else seems so much more important? (We’ve become a master at making excuses.)
So we’ve decided to pencil ourselves in and join the newest health and wellness destination, Victoria Park. Inspired by great urban parks and using local materials, Victoria Park brings the outdoors indoors with a modern Canadian feel. Solving the dreaded ‘no time for ourselves’ issue, think fitness centre meets full-service spa meets salon with everything else in between. (That’s one big roof.)
We began with a workout in the unintimidating fitness centre ($200/month) stocked with the latest and best equipment. Feeling we may have pushed a bit too hard (five New Year’s pounds to go), we opted for a yoga class in one of the yoga barns. Then we checked out the medispa where a quick shot of botox ($10 per shot) is available—clients can make their exit from the medical spa’s private exit straight to the underground parking.
With an exclusive cosmetic boutique and a manicure-pedicure studio slated to open, as well as a café and gourmet health food store, we know we’ll be spending a lot of time taking a walk (spin or stretch) in this beautiful Park.
