Getting Cozy

Does family fun have to be synonymous with romper room décor? Cabin Café and MercantileNot so at Cabin Café and Mercantile. In fact, this new destination for Calgary clans blows every notion we have about life with children right out of the water. Who knew leather couches and rustic furnishings could exist in a kid-friendly café? And when was the last time we could socialize with other grown ups over a cup of espresso, while our charge can go crazy in a Cabin Clubhouse?

The good eats here have our jaws dropping as well. Daddy snuggles up to the Cabin Steamer tea ($3.00) and the open-faced turkey bagel ($5.75) with all the fixings while our wee ones munch on warm cinnamon toast ($2.75).

If reliving our café days wasn’t enough, we could always come back for their Saturday night live music jam sessions. (Baby head bopping is all the rage.)
