It’s still September and we’re already weary of fixing lunches, not to mention quick meals the kids can chow down between lessons. If only they were old enough to cook themselves.
Well to our rescue comes the opening of Kulinary Kids ($210 - $240 for eight weeks), the first cooking school for preschool to high school kids in the city that focuses not only on the fun of cooking, but nutrition as well.
Our little Mini Muffins (ages 3-4) and Growing Chefs (ages 5-6) had a great time reading If You Make a Moose a Muffin, but had even more fun actually baking their own moose muffins.
We love the Junior Chef I and II (ages 7-9 and 10-12, respectively) and Teen Chef (ages 13-17) after-school courses. Not only are they focused on cooking and learning about food from around the world, to our delight they come home with a well-prepared meal for four!
Host a fun birthday party or check out their cookware store. With all kinds of kitschy kids products from tyke-size aprons and hats, to make-at-home pizza, cookie and lemonade kits, we hope the kids want to cook all the time. (A mom can dream.)
