Laundry Day Jolt

Part laundromat, part café -- eventually, some genius multi-tasker (probably a mom!) had to think of putting the two together. Buanderie Mousse Café is the result, and it's our favourite spot for combating the laundry-day blues.

We like to grab a hot cup of coffee ($1.40) and a bite to eat while our clothes spin through their cycles. Quick breakfast offerings (all under $10) are a blessing on those days when just remembering to separate the colours from the whites is something to celebrate.

If we're feeling particularly mom-brained, the Buanderie Mousse Café staff are on hand to help us use the machines, or remind us to use soap, which they sell (in case we've forgotten ours with our mind).

When we've got a ton of work to get done while our laundry does its thing, we can hit up the free WiFi (offered via the Eye-In Wireless network), and stay connected. Bills paid? Check. E-mails answered? Check. Unmentionables put on delicate cycle? Check!

We love Buanderie Mousse Café because while it may not be our everyday laundromat, it's ideal when we need a little "me" time amidst the chaos of everyday chores.
