From 0-24 months, shopping for cute outfits was a joy (a little ruffle here, a little camo there). But our days of playing stylist may be numbered as our kids develop their own style savvy.
Online shopping allows us to slowly let go of our tutu temptations and screened skull seductions. Especially when we visit HipKid on Etsy.com. Created by mom Suzanne, this Montreal-based clothing company sells tops featuring clever sayings or spot-on graphics, hand-screened with non-toxic ink.
With a range of short and long sleeve cotton (some organic) T-shirts and onesies ($15-$22), even the most selective of mini style mavens will love these unique limited edition tees. Got a little cowboy? He’ll love the rodeo inspired The End t-shirt ($20). A spirited freethinker? We think she’ll dig "The opinions expressed by my parents" tee ($20).
And since we are, in fact, in charge of checkout we might just add one of Suzanne’s brilliant key fob wristlets ($6.50-8), which are ideal for those trips to the playground sans purse.
Finally a shirt we can agree on. (Though the jury’s still out on whether our l’il hipster will ever take his new favourite shirt off.)
