If you’ve never taken your kids to this sweeter-than-sweet shop, they’re in for a treat (pun intended).

The Candy Store is definitely a don’t-miss destination, especially around certain candy-heavy holidays. (And for kids, that’s pretty much every holiday.) The shop’s fanciful décor serves as a backdrop to an eye-popping array of goodies including bulk candy, chocolate, imported treats and local chocolate.

Kids love filling bags with bulk candy ($2.10/100g) of their own choice, and we love perusing the wide selection of nostalgic candy and retro bars ($1.99 each) like 5th Avenue and 100 Grand. Discovering exotic new-to-us French, British, Dutch and Scandinavian treats is a fun adventure for kids and parents.

Because we all deserve a special treat.
