“Macaroni Art? Mom, that is so last diaper change.”
For art’s sake (and in the name of shaking our child-bearing hips) we’re packing up the family and heading to Bunch Family’s next shindig happening this weekend at CiRCA ($10 for grown-ups, $5 for kids. Under-twos are free). The theme? Andy Warhol’s notorious Factory Parties – but for children. That means tossing the cocktails, daddy-o, and raising our sippy cups to everything pop art. Warhol himself will be at the party (wig and all) to guide tykes through his own Silver Clouds installation. There’ll be no rubbing of chins and admiring art from afar here. Wee ones will get to draw on slate-covered pillars or on giant "Munny" statue designed by kidrobot owner Paul Budnitz.
We may not let our children drink soft drinks. But this pop is something we can approve of.
