Crafters (and wannabes) are in happy stitches over Vancouver’s newest creative hotspot.
Spool of Thread is the city’s first sewing lounge and they’ve got local needles smokin’. We can drop in to this modern space ($5) and work on a current project, shop around for amazing (and hard to find) fabrics or take a sewing class (we like the idea of making our own Vintage Inspired Blouse, $100).
No sewing machine? No problem. Rent by the hour ($8/hr). Spacious and bright, this lounge is sure to become a social hub for machine mavens. Neighbouring Collage Collage, RubyDog’s Art House and Les Faux Bourgeois, makes this a crafty addition to Vancouver’s Art Strip.
Our bobbins are bouncing on over.
