With an extra week of summer (and activities to plan) on our hands, we’re all for filling up their last few days of freedom. Here’s where we’ll be.
La Ronde
We’re snapping up a mid-season family passport to help them hoot, holler and enjoy the thrill rides at Quebec’s greatest amusement park.
$130/family passport (till October 31), 22 McDonald Rd., Ile Sainte Helene, www.laronde.com
The Brome Fair
We’re savouring the harvest bounty with some small-town fair action. The weekend festivities include a truck-pull, games, rides and, of course, great food.
September 4-7, $7-$10, 345 Stagecoach Rd., Brome, www.bromefair.com
Laval’s Fête de la Famille
Family fun awaits with live music, inflatable games, face painting, cultural shows and more at Laval’s Centre de la Nature.
September 6, 10am-6pm, free, 901 Du Parc Ave., Saint-Vincent de Paul, www.ville.laval.qc.ca
And once it’s all said and done, we can celebrate their grand school entrance knowing that we’ve made those last dog days of summer memorable ones.
