The kids need a break. And so do you. Here are some great ways for both of you to get what you want…
Telus World of Science Camps
From construction and biology, to astronomy and world culture, kids (ages 3-11) will have fun while learning at a variety of camps. (Think of it as chocolate-covered brussel sprouts.)
March 29 - April 6; $23-$55/day; www.calgaryscience.ca
Dinosaurs Alive! At the Calgary Zoo
Who doesn’t love the mystique (and sheer terror) of a T-Rex? The new interactive prehistoric exhibit will keep them busy for hours.
Daily to October 31; $9-$17 (Children under 3/Free); www.calgaryzoo.com/dinos
U of C’s School Break Camps
Keeping them active (without the Wii) is a battle all in its own, so leave it to U of C to keep Grade 2-8 kids skiing, snowshoeing, wall climbing, and much more.
April 6-9; $260; www.ucalgary.ca
Calgary STARS Gymnastics Camps
Half and full-day camps for the rambunctious set (ages 4 and up) offer crafts, games, outdoor fun and, of course, gymnastics (and will have them sleeping like babies when they come home).
March 29 - April 9; $125-$215; www.calgarystarsgym.com
