Spiderman himself couldn’t ask for a better summer camp (and thank goodness, because Supermom hasn’t figured out what to do for August yet).
True North Climbing’s wall-to-wall climbing gym is every Spiderkid’s fantasy. One minute they’re scaling a stalactite, the next they’re rappelling down a make-believe mountainside. Later, they’re considering how to navigate the transverse boulder courses and balancing on floor-level slacklines.
Owner John Gross says there’s an emphasis on safety at his one-week camps for five- to 12-year-olds that run all summer ($325/week; 8:30am to 4:30pm with extended care available). When kids aren’t climbing, they’ll be working on arts and crafts and enjoying visits from scientists and animal wranglers.
The monkey bars might never be the same again.
