Library, waterpark, mall…We've visited every imaginable location to beat the heat.
We were desperate for a new spot when we discovered La Tasse Gamine. This new Mile-End mom and kid café is all parts vegetarian restaurant, eco-boutique and huge play area. While they enjoy the toys, we lunch on a sandwich ($8), yogurt parfait ($5) or cappuccino ($3). And when they work up an appetite, they can munch on a mini muffin ($1) or quesadilla ($4).
Once our bellies were filled, our bags were too with Quemeez moccasins ($28) and Vintage Baby Revival wool sweaters (we wish it was back-to-school already).
Now that we've cooled off, we're recharged for the rest of the summer...until our next visit.
