The kids are in the kitchen and it’s our turn to ask, “What’s for dinner?”
Vancouver’s newest cooking school, The Hungry Oven, whips up some top-notch culinary delights in their kids’ classes ($275). There’s no sitting on the sidelines: little hands are encouraged to get messy and everyone participates in creating their own tasty masterpiece.
Every class starts with a run-down of kitchen rules. Our KinderCooks (ages 3-5) and Junior Chefs (ages 6-9) use a custom-built kid-kitchen, complete with induction ovens (to prevent burns) and drawers stocked with knives that won’t cut skin (phew!). Not sure if your little one is lovin’ the oven? Try a free class. We’re sure they’ll be hooked.
