To be Canadian is to at least put up with hockey season.
We know hockey season is here when three things happen. It starts to get chilly out, we frequently hear Don Cherry yelling “let the players play the game” and every Saturday boys and men across the country “lose” the television remote.
It must be time to get in on the action. This weekend, the Hockey Hall of Fame ( Adult/$17.50, Youth/$11, Senior/$13, 3 & under/Free) is honouring its latest inductees – Ed Belfour, Doug Gilmour, Mark Howe and Joe Nieuwendyk (all names even non-hockey fans are familiar with).
We’re happy to join in on this excitement, especially once we found out Borje Salming was going to be signing autographs on Saturday. Other events this weekend include tributes to the inductees including fan forums, contests, and the annual Legends Classic Game ($25 - $40).
We’re no longer simply putting up with it – we admit, we’re officially smitten by it.
