Through late-night diaper changes, growth spurts and numerous hours of deciphering cries, we’ve managed to drop most of our baby weight. With just a few pounds to go (and bikini season in full swing), we can’t understand why some of our favourite mom and baby classes have taken a summer hiatus.
Soon the only worry we’ll have this summer is stretch marks -- thanks to Studio Levitas’ new series of mom and baby classes, which just happens to launch next week. We know we’re in for a workout since Thérèse Desrosiers (whose classes we took at Maman, Bébé et Café) is the Director of Pilates and co-owner, along with her husband Douglas Kropla, a ballroom dance instructor.
The studio offers eight-week sessions ($104, from July 7 to August 25) of both Mom and Baby Pilates and Baby-Wearing Salsa. In the first, we’ll focus on rebuilding our core strength and getting those abs into pre-baby shape (or maybe even better!). In the salsa class, we’ll dance off the pounds and get baby into the groove while feeling just a little bit like we’re on Dancing with the Stars.
Sure we’ll be giving up an hour of sunshine indoors, but we’ll certainly reap the bathing suit benefits.
