When we find a good thing -- a fabulous fitting pair of jeans, the perfect barrista, that shade of lipstick that always makes us look like a million bucks -- we stick with it..

June5_SMTor_Picara_w180_h22.jpgOur loyalties extend to our local neighbourhood store filled with all of those hard to find fabulous baby items. On a recent visit to Baby on the Hip, we discovered the cutest way to carry our babies “on the hip” with the Picara baby carrier.

The Mei Tai model, ($110) fashioned after a traditional Asian baby carrier, comes in fun, colourful high quality twills. We’re loving the Pink Moon and Green Swirl combinations with their solid coloured backing and cushioned shoulder straps. It takes a mom to know a mom, so Picara owner/designer, Heather Peirini, used her own experiences to create a fashionable, functional way to keep our kids close.

We may not be the next Martha Stewart, but when it comes to being a mom, we’re all for good things.
