When we registered for our baby shower, a Britax car seat was on the top of our list. (Yeah, we never thought we’d prefer reading car seat reviews to Perez Hilton either.) So we’re so jealous of the brand’s latest edition, which promises to be its safest seat yet.
The unique thing about the new, highly anticipated Britax Advocate CS ($450) convertible child safety seat (fit for rear-facing and forward-facing kids from five to 65 pounds) is its advanced side impact protection technology. Not only does it greatly reduce the force of a side impact crash to the restrained child, but it also provides a soft, protective surface for adjacent passengers, preventing injury to them as well.
The Advocate CS also features side walls that shield children from intruding objects, deep head wings and sides for head and body containment, and an adjustable head restraint to minimize side-to-side head movement during a crash. And because we’re always unsure of how tight to make the five-point harness, we love the Click & Safe® Snug Harness Indicator, which lets you know when your babe is snug as a bug.
Available in sleek Opus Grey or sweet Kathryn (a hip pink/brown combo) -- hmmm, is it too late to exchange?
