As children we always grieved over the racks of mass produced rainbow nameplates. We never found our own name and kept wishing we were called Jessica.

Sarah Headrick and Sarah Rivera (who clearly have no trouble finding nameplates) came up with an idea to make every child’s name a part of their story. Custom Made for Kids features personalized books and gifts for those wispy haired loves of your life.

A simple trip to their website found us weaving our way through 17 questions. We filled in blank fields with names of kids, places, family members and favourite things. (It was fun to do, but tough to decide who, what and where made it into the final book.) The Sarahs have thought of everything, making the experience a tiny effort for a timeless result.

After just a few clicks and a small shipping fee ($5.95 USD), we had a beautifully finished book, The First Adventures of Incredible You ($32.95 USD), delivered in time for Baby’s birthday. With beautiful colour illustrations and a totally unique story, our children begged to be read it repeatedly at bedtime. (Because we’re apparently raising little narcissists.)

Finally, a gift we can buy for babies named Apple and Laverne.
