The Danes have done it again. How is it that this tiny country consistently produces innovative furniture with surpassed practicality, function and style? Denmark has created a booster seat that will embarrass all other boosters – and it’s now available at select Canadian retailers.
Minui HandySitt
($159) is the ultimate baby and toddler seating solution (it’s quite brilliant, actually). Brought to Canada by a Vancouver dad of three, this sleek wooden chair just sits on top of a chair you already have and folds up flat for effortless storage – perfect for spatially-challenged homes.
Weighing approximately five pounds, the HandySitt is handy for travel too. It takes a minute to install and comes with its own carry case. No more germ-covered, ill-fitting, shifting and sliding, strapless restaurant boosters that just don’t work. This Danish dream will make eating out tolerable (we’ll take tolerable).
The adjustable seat sits our babies in an ergonomically correct position. And there is no nasty tray to keep clean and no crevices for mushy [insert food item here] to squeeze into.
It may not keep the peas and carrots on the table, but at least our toddlers will look good rubbing food into their hair. Is there a Danish shampoo we can recommend?
