A trip to Vancouver’s new Pottery Barn Kids is catalogue shopping brought to life. Offering every accessory a stylish children's room craves (while providing a viable and refined alternative to SSE – Swedish Store Excess), attractive furnishings and must-haves (that pleased our picky tastes) fill the store with candy-coloured perfection.
We are banishing princess sheets forever in favour of romantic English roses (from $89). Sophisticated yet perfectly girly for our budding little ladies – there’s even a vintage chandelier ($189) to complete the look.
Though we’ve managed to keep the kids alive, the same can’t be said for plants. We snapped up these Lucy Hanging Bouquets (from $36) to add a touch of (faux) nature to our baby girl’s boudoir.
While we’re suckers for a pastel palette and polka dots, we can’t forget our little guys. Things with engines make them happy, so we’re adorning the curtain rod with the Red Truck Finials ($35 for a set) and lighting the night with an Airplane Nightlight (from $25).
We love that PBK takes us from bedrooms to bags. The Seacliff Messenger Bag ($159), complete with change pad and diaper storage, is perfect for all the trips we’ll be taking to and from this junior gem.
Grabbing a catalogue on our way out, we had to giggle when we remembered “barn” means “kids” in Swedish.
