It’s raining; it’s pouring. We need to find something fun for the kids to do.
Recent east side creative destination, The Pod, offers classes in painting, book arts, collage and textiles for kids aged four to 14. Drop-in ($15) or register for four to eight week classes (like Knitting, $65, and Sewing, $170 including materials) in a relaxed atmosphere that evokes kitchen table arts and crafts sessions (with the addition of an artsy expert).
The best part? Every Friday evening (6:30pm-8:30pm), parents can drop the kids off for Date Night Class ($15). It’s craft and movie time for the little ones and a chance for Mom and Dad to grab dinner in a crayon-free environment.
Now that’s a creative idea.
