Thanks to our economy-sized bottles of hand sanitizer and tubs of antibacterial wipes, we often resemble a pack mule instead of Mommy Dearest. We can’t shake our vengeance for germs – but our back can only take so much more of the Sherpa shtick. Table TopperThe next time we head out on the town, we’ll be sure to bring our ample (but much lighter) supply of Table Toppers. These disposable mats ($10.99-$13.99/pack of 20) stick right on to restaurant tabletops, eliminating those icky germs. Jodi Suissa and Liane Frank, both Montreal moms with a troop of 5 between them, recently brought the line to Canada, making Montreal eating surfaces that much more kid-friendly.

Although our brood may not appreciate being germ free, they’ll get a kick out of the mats’ fun illustrations of Dora the Explorer, Sponge Bob and Winnie the Pooh. And we’re loving Table Toppers’ subliminal educational content from counting to Spanish to healthy eating.

It’s enough to make us want to jump for joy. (If only our diaper bag wasn’t so darn cumbersome.)
