Would You Wear Heels During Pregnancy?

I've heard the horror stories of pregnancy pain: the sore back, the aching feet, not to mention the extra 30 pounds you're hauling. So I find myself dumbfounded when I see pregnant women wearing heels. Legitimate heels. Heels that most women would scoff at regardless of whether they're toting a mini human being in their stomach.
I don't know the dos and don'ts of pregnancy, but I'm guessing heels aren't recommended footwear, so why are these women wearing them?
I love a stunning pair of shoes as much as the next women, but aren't those nine months a woman's get-out-of-jail-free card?
