Whether it’s a few nights of discomfort or a month (or two!) not many babies seem to escape teething unscathed. Thanks to www.aquafresh.ca, we’ve found some ways to help ease their pain.
First thing’s first; signs to watch for: swollen gums, drooling (more than usual), hot red cheeks, irritability (again, more than usual), lots of chewing, hands in their mouth
How to help: - Remember lots of hugs and patience
-Chilled teething rings (or even wash cloths with cold water) to chew on can help sooth their gums
-You can also ask your doctor or dentist to recommend a sugar-free infant teething gel (Always consult a doctor before giving your child any kind of medication.)
Try to remember, that this phase too shall pass! In fact, usually when the teeth appear, things should get back to normal.
Fresh Tip: It’s never too early to teach the importance of brushing their teeth – you can start even before they have any!
