Are Hot Drinks Bad For Little Teeth?

sponsored by aquafresh®canada (Dec.19.11)

Now that the temperatures have dropped, seasonal drinks like hot chocolate and warm apple cider are all around (and tempting).

But are these ok for our kid’s teeth?

Like anything with sugar, (even milk contains natural sugar) try to limit their exposure. But since it might be hard to completely avoid these fun wintery drinks, a good rule of thumb is to drink them at mealtime when there’s more saliva in the mouth (which helps wash away the cavity-inducing sugars).

And a good brushing afterwards is always a good idea!
