About Jennifer Hamilton

Having learned to write before she could walk (or so goes the story), Jennifer Hamilton has finally found an outlet as our SweetMama Editor. Don’t miss her weekly victories and slip-ups as she raises a son who is almost as obstinate and witty as her; using snuggles, derision and propaganda to survive.

Tell Me How to Get to Sesame Street

mother she wrote: sesame street videos canada (Dec.07.11)

Ever since my son could figure out what a computer was for (watching videos, of course), he has been a happy child. I on the other hand, have seen more than my fair share of Thomas-the-Tank-Engine videos (an dark time in my life), Spiderman cartoon bits, funny baby home movies and Fantastic Four clips.

Then my husband reminded me of the Sesame Street videos we used to laugh over before having a child. Those were amazing, and I’ve always loved anything that happens to go down on that particular street.

I especially love when they have guest stars (think Bruno Mars, Feist, David Beckham, Conan, Norah Jones, Smokey Robinson and even Andrea Bocelli) perform with the muppets in videos that are easily captured for all of us YouTube fanatics (otherwise known as parents).

Here are a few of my favourites. These will calm any tantrum, fix any boo-boo and somehow manage to get teeth brushed and clothes on just with the promise of a viewing. And they won't make you cringe to watch them. Enjoy.
