Over the last few weeks, my blog has been on more serious subjects, so this week I wanted to lighten the mood share some of my favourite things that have been keeping my pregnancy sweet!
Burt’s Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter
Pregnancy is a beautiful thing. But a post-pregnant woman, who is tired, exhausted and out of shape, can use a little upside for her downside. Time will tell if it really works, but this cream goes on smooth, smells great, and leaves my skin soft. I’ve tried a few and this one is by far the best!
Pregnancy Journal
Let me start by saying I’m obsessed with information. I’m a master “Googler” of all things pregnancy. At times I calculate the days, months, minutes until I reach certain pregnancy milestones. This book gives me the quick fix of pregnancy info I need and a little dose of inspiration at the same time.
J Brand Maternity Jeans
I’ve already spewed my fascination with pregnancy jeans. But since then, I have fallen in love with a new pair. They are J Brand’s Maternity 12” Pencil jeans (from one of my favourite online shops, shopbop.com). They are the perfect shade, the perfect skinny and with the discreet elastic panel they are not too “maternity-ish” (all the more reason I will be wearing them long past my due date.)
Organic Meadow 1% Milk
Pregnancy equals cravings. Luckily mine is of the healthy variety. I probably hadn’t had a glass of milk since I was 8 years old, but now I’m chugging back at least 3 a day. This organic one is not only good for you, it has a rich creamy taste that goes down smooth (sometimes when I’m feeling crazy, I get the chocolate one!)
Body Pillow
True Story: One day my lovely husband went out and spontaneously bought me a pregnancy pillow. Sweet, non? Then within 12 hours he’d fallen so in love with it that he tried to take it back from me and use it himself! And then another 12 hours later he went and bought himself one too (he calls it “sympathy sleeping”).
