About Sweetmama Editor
Nadine Silverthorne’s love of journaling began in Grade One with the entry, “I am the greatest dancer!” Two babies (and countless diaper changes) later, she has found her home away from home as editor of SweetMama. Don’t miss her humorous bi-weekly accounts of the joys and pains of working while raising them fabulous.
It's hard to believe that just a year ago I was in the midst of painful labour. I couldn't sleep properly. I was worried, hoping everything turned out right. Then the beautiful SweetMama site was born. Our little newsletter became a sweet and robust online lifestyle guide for modern mothers and moms-to-be who are looking to live the "sweet life" with baby on the hip.
Like any baby, our site grew past its initial awkward phase, from newborn to baby with a prettier homepage. And in the coming weeks she'll take her first steps into toddlerhood. (You'll have to wait to see what I mean!)
I'm a proud mama. This year has presented some fun challenges for the SweetMama team across Canada. As we grew, the Sweetspot editorial team had to step in and take on chunks of the planning and editing of the site (thanks Ashley, Jes and Sam!). And I like to think working on SweetMama inspired a few of them to take the plunge at becoming SweetMamas themselves! (Check this spot next Monday to see who!)
