Scenic Caves
I have been dying to go visit the Scenic Caves since I was a teen, especially since the added zip lines and a suspension bridge. (Makes me think of The Amazing Race.) If you have kids under age six, there's still plenty to do, but don't plan on anything adventurous. The walk to the first cave is up a lot of stairs -- so not two-year-old-who-needs-a-stroller-friendly. The suspension bridge was immediately deemed "too scary" by Nate.
So we stuck to the playground, took an adorable train ride and played a round of mini-golf (deserted at this time of year, so we could take our time. Lucy was on the first hole for 20 minutes, repeatedly dropping the ball in the same whole and then yelling, "Mam! Gettit!" When Lucy's eyes got glassy, we knew it to head back to the car and start the drive home.
