S'more Summer Please

I've just returned from my family's final camping trip of the summer. We made it out three times this year and I guess I can (somewhat reluctantly) call myself a camper now. I have rocked the menus, the packing checklist and generally learned how to have a great time in the woods. And the other great camping skill I've mastered? Making S'mores.
Since I didn't grow up with S'mores (I don't think we EVER had a marshmallow in my childhood home) I've only JUST figured out how to get this combo of graham cracker/chocolate/marshmallow right. And now that I think I've perfected it, I think I might try these amazing twists on the classic from Hershey's (maybe right over the barbeque — I'm addicted!)
Choco-Cherry S’mores: Cut two maraschino cherries into slices; place on top of chocolate bar
Choco-Berry S’mores: Place slices of strawberries on top of chocolate bar
Chocolate Banana S’mores: Place slices of banana on top of chocolate bar
Raspberry S’mores: Spread thin layer of seedless red raspberry preserves on graham cracker
But who can turn down the all-time family favourite? To make the classic S’mores recipe just follow three easy steps:
1. Place 1/2 of a HERSHEY’S® 45g Milk Chocolate bar on a graham cracker half.
2. Carefully toast marshmallow over grill or campfire (supervise the kids if they’re doing this)
3. Place over chocolate. Top with second graham cracker and gently press together.
My kids, on the other hand, simply like what they call a "choco sandwich:" placing two pieces of chocolate on either side of a raw marshmallow and then chasing it with a graham cracker. I'd say something, but that would break our official Silverthorne camping rule: Everyone does what they want to do (as long as it's safe and not hurting anybody else of course).
Now if I could just teach my daughter how to stay asleep in the tent, instead of waking up screaming bloody murder and scaring the crap out of the entire campground...
And is it me or did this summer just fly by? I know that we had a great summer weather-wise (in fact it was great since Spring), but I feel like I blinked and it was over. I find that watching my kids grow up has put time on hyper-speed. You?
