Four Fast Fun Things

Thanks to our Twitter account, we're really up to date on what's going on in the world. Not all things we learn are fun: Actress Natasha Richardson's ski accident (and the varying reports of the extent of her injuries) was completely disheartening. Learning from @shinangovani that her kids are 12 and 13, and then later learning of her tragic death made it worse. Our thoughts are with her family.
But onto fun things that help us get to the weekend, shall we?
- @BunchFamily tweeted this link to GQ's piece on the super-stylish 8-year-old son of Mad Men creator Matt Weiner. I urge you to go and take a look, because this kid is unique. He reminds me of a cross between designer Zac Posen and Marshall, the son on my favourite show of the moment, United States of Tara. (For the record, I did a 140-character fan gush about the show to @diablocody -- publicly.)
- @mommyknows posted this Buzzfeed link to what the new, revamped, on-the-cusp-of-puberty Dora will look like. I highly doubt tweens will watch this show, but I still think Dora's new look beats the ultra-annoying Magic Princess Dora any day.
- Our Sweethome editor, Sarah Rogers, sends me some great links, including the next two. Check out this organic baby food tasting bar (in the O.C. of course, where else?). Now check out @sweethomedotca to stay on top of what's new and great in the home.
Go Home Gorgeous is a service (in Minnesota of all places) that brings spa services to the hospital, so you can feel fresh post-birth. This kind of falls into a Love or Leave category for me. While I think I would have welcomed these people with open arms, it seems a bit frivolous to me. (But that might be because I'm a writer/editor on a budget.)
Is this a great service that should come to Canada? Does it already exist on our shores? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below. I'm back on Monday with a new favourite blog to tell you all about. (In the meantime I'll be chanting, "Spring, spring, spring!")
