OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES & REGULATIONS
These Rules & Regulations (the "Rules") govern the Book Fairy Dwell Books (the "Contest") running on www.sweetspot.ca/sweetmama (the "Site"). No purchase is necessary to enter the Contest. The act of entering the Contest constitutes acceptance of the Rules and decision(s) of the Contest judge (the "Judge").
CONTEST
The Contest commences at 12:01 a.m. (EST) on Wednesday April 28, 2010 and closes at 11:59 p.m. (EST) (the "Closing Time") on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 (the "Contest Period"). One (1) grand prize winner of the Contest will be eligible to receive two (2) DwellStudio Go and Eat books valued at $16 CND and one (1) secondary prize winner of the Contest will be eligible to receive one (1) DwellStudio Touch & Feel Town book, valued at $12 CND ("Prize").
ELIGIBILITY
This Contest is open to residents of Canada, excluding Quebec, who are 19 years of age or over as at the first day of the Contest Period, excluding employees, officers and directors of Sweetspot.ca Inc. ("sweetspot.ca") and the sponsor(s) of the Prizes (the "Sponsors"), any companies affiliated with sweetspot.ca or the Sponsors, representatives, dealers and agents of sweetspot.ca or the Sponsors, contest suppliers and the Judge, any immediate family members (defined as parents, children, siblings and spouses, wherever they reside) and those with whom any of them are domiciled. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and local laws and regulations and is voidable where prohibited by law. This contest is void in Quebec
HOW TO ENTER
To be entered for a chance to win the Prize, visit our Shelf Candy Blog and leave a comment on her April 28, 2010 post. Entries will not be eligible if submitted by any method, which is not specified above, or if the entry is not received prior to the Closing Time. There is a limit of one (1) entry per household but you may comment as many times as you like.
PRIZE
In this Contest, there is a total of two (2) Prizes. The potential for any contestant to win the Prize will depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
DRAW
On Monday, May 17, 2010, the grand prize winner will be chosen by random draw. The draw will be held in Toronto, Ontario and will be made from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
GENERAL
The grand prize winners will be contacted by telephone or email on Monday, May 17, 2010 by a representative of sweetspot.ca at the telephone number or email provided in the contestant’s entry. If a selected contestant cannot be reached by Wednesday May 20, 2010 at 5 pm (EST), another contestant will be randomly selected. This procedure will be repeated until a selected contestant is reached.
Within 24 hours of being selected, the selected contestant must:(a) correctly answer, unaided, a mathematical skill testing question posed by telephone at a mutually convenient time, (b) show valid identification, and (c) sign a release (the "Release"): (i) granting to sweetspot.ca the right to use the contestant's personal information, image and likeness (the "Personal Information"); (ii) releasing sweetspot.ca, and its directors, officers, owners, partners, employees, agents, dealers, representatives, and affiliates of and from any and all liability arising out of use of the Personal Information and the administration of the Contest; (iii) confirming compliance with the Rules. If a selected contestant is unable to meet these criteria, such selected contestant will be disqualified, and another entry will be randomly selected from the remaining eligible entries.
In all matters relating to the promotion and awarding of the Prize, the Judge’s rulings are final and without appeal. All entries that are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, have been submitted through illicit means, or do not conform to or satisfy the Rules, may be disqualified by sweetspot.ca. Sweetspot.ca takes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, misdirected, late or destroyed entries, or for typographical or other production errors. Neither sweetspot.ca nor the Sponsors is responsible for any errors or omissions in printing or advertising this Contest. All entries become property of sweetspot.ca and will not be returned to the contestants.
Sweetspot.ca will use contestants’ personal information to administer the Contest, including contacting, announcing and promoting the grand prize winners. For a copy of sweetspot.ca’s privacy policy, please visit www.sweetspot.ca.
Sweetspot.ca assumes no responsibility for failure of the internet or the Site itself during the Contest Period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or traffic congestion on the internet or any web-site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to a contestant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from accessing any material on the Site. Sweetspot.ca reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the Contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond its reasonable control corrupt the security or proper administration of the Contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage the Site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of the Rules. Should any such attempt be made, sweetspot.ca reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including and not limited to, criminal prosecution.
The Prize must be accepted as awarded, are non-transferable and are not convertible into cash.
If the identity of a contestant is disputed, the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry will be deemed to be the contestant. The individual assigned to the email address for the domain associated with the submitted email address is considered the authorized account holder. A selected contestant may be required to provide proof that he or she is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the selected entry. All entries must be submitted from a valid email account that may be identified by reverse domain name search. The sole determinant of time for the purpose of receipt of a valid entry in this Contest will be subject to the Contest server machines.
