The Lost Supper

If you were stranded on a deserted island with only one type of food, what would it be? (For our five-year-old, it would be a cheeseburger with nothing on it.)

It was this classic existential question that inspired Leslieville’s newest burger joint, Great Burger Kitchen. But the owners of the late Mr. Tasty Burger and Joy Bistro added a few twists.

What if burgers ($6-$8) could be sourced locally from naturally-raised beef and chicken? Could it include creative toppings like balsamic fried onions, spicy aioli and homemade Niagara pickle (free to $0.50 each)? How about hand-cut fries ($4) and seven different kinds of poutine ($5-$7)? Yep, it can be done.

Quality burgers without the hassle of being Lost? We’ll take it.
