A full day cross country skiing with a toddler on our backs? You bet. But now that our body is too stiff to lift a frying pan, it would be nice to let us supermoms be taken care of for a change.
That's why we're waddling in our snowpants all the way to the Rocky Mountain Flatbread Company in Canmore. Family friendly and delicious to boot, this hidden gem serves up chicken noodle soup ($5.75) to warm us up, followed by the Sunworks flatbread pizza ($22.75 - $27.75). While we enjoy the 100% Canadian organic ingredients baked in an artisan clay oven, our tots can't get enough of the replica artisan oven in the play area. Equipped with all the ingredients used to make flatbread (of the plastic variety), our little ones happily serve us their own duplicate culinary delights (no tip required).
What's even better is they sell these delectable treats frozen to take home (which is good considering tomorrow's second day stiffness).
