Judging by our parent's belief that putting whiskey in a pacifier can help put baby to sleep, we think it's time for these old school students to learn some new tricks.
That's why we're enrolling the grandparents-to-be in babyREADY's Grandparent Preparation Class ($50 for both grandparents). We're thrilled that the course is headed by award-winning writer, Teresa Pitman (how can we not trust the co-author of Dr. Jack Newman's Guide to Breastfeeding?). Over 2.5 hours, the gram and gramps get to learn everything from what has changed in the delivery room ("No, dad, my midwife isn't going to cast a spell on me...") to basic feeding information ("No, mom, I'm pretty sure babies need teeth before they can indulge in peanut brittle...").
Although it is for our parents' benefit, we have to admit it'll pay off for us as well. Just think of all those worry-free nights of babysitting.
