We'd like to raise a sippy cup to our mommy group. It's the place we can remember all the verses of Wheels on the Bus. It's the place we can commiserate about feeding our vegetable-averse toddler. But is it too much to ask for the company of other parents without fish crackers being on the menu?
It isn't, thanks to Mom Café. This re-occurring networking event has everything we love: Food, conversation and, for most of their shindigs, babysitting. We get to enjoy breakfast (no really, we get to actually eat an entire blueberry muffin without interruption). Plus, we get to hear accomplished fellow mamas speak about how to balance that load of laundry with a career (not to mention their experiences wearing this morning's oatmeal surprise on their power suits).
Started by two mompreneurs, the mom café is coming to venues around the Lower Mainland every six to eight weeks. We just hope we can hold out long enough for those blueberry muffins.
