Ever since our little daredevil took lessons last season, he has been showing us up on the slopes. No more snowplowing for us, we need to shred some powder of our own.
Gain the confidence to tackle the half-pipe (or just the bunny hill) with some other female folk. Women’s Ski and Snowboard Programs ($130-$226) at Canada Olympic Park will set us up with some serious skills. If we want to make it a girls’ getaway, weekend camps ($109-$395) may be just the thing. After discovering our latest passion for the white stuff, we might just have to go shopping for a new ski suit to complement our newfound expertise. (Any excuse for shopping right?)
Once we can stand on our own two feet, we can help our younger offspring learn to love winter too with Kid’s Ski and Snowboard Programs. Our fave is the Cubs and Cougars* Skiing ($85-$254), offered to kids aged 3-5, accompanied by a parent. Our little skier takes the lesson and we tag along learning proper techniques and strategies to help our budding Olympian along.
* We’re not sure “cougar” is a name we like to go by, but we’ll take one for our ski team.
