Play, Play, Play heard our early morning prayers – their doors open at 7 a.m. (on weekdays; 10 a.m. Saturdays; closed for parties Sundays). This cozy indoor playground ($6 per child, up to 4’ tall) provides the perfect spot for a sunrise playdate (that’s about as romantic as dating gets these days).
We found ourselves in an enchanted forest, with brightly coloured murals mimicking the outdoors. Play structures, books, toys, kid-sized tables and Bumbos made our little rascals feel right at home.
While checking out the free wireless Internet and the latest magazines, we breathed a sigh of relief. It was easy to relax knowing our kids couldn’t easily escape or get hurt (the floor is made of rubber). When tummies started to rumble, there were plenty of healthy smoothies ($2.50 kid size) and snacks to choose from. We could only pry our kids away after promising, “Just one more time” more than just once. (They’re onto us!)
If only we had a room like this in our house, early morning romance with our favourite date wouldn’t be a thing of the past.
