We’ve learned a few lessons since joining the ranks of parenthood, and the one that’s been on our mind lately is about a busy child being better behaved. With the “I’m bored” days of summer quickly approaching, we’re frantically searching for ways to keep our kids engaged and enthused.
Room to Grow
offers plenty of fun to keep the under-4 set busy. The modern, serene and kid-centred décor helped even our most timid tots feel right at home, so we quickly looked to fill our schedule. The weeklong indoor summer camps ($75-$150) pair playtime with your choice of Art, Music, Dance or French lessons, while the Parented Outdoor Summer Fun Days ($20) offer an alternative to another long day at the park. For babes six weeks to six months, we’re signing up for Seedlings ($105) a six-week, one-hour course that teaches us simple exercises to do with our little one to promote motor skills, sensory integration and bonding.
With so many exciting programs, there’s only lesson we need to keep in mind: Over-scheduled kids are not happy ones (and neither are their parents).
