Like any valuable lesson in life – teaching our kids about respecting the planet is best done while they’re young.
L.A.-based label Humanity couldn’t agree more. Owners and business partners Helena Cho and Tammy Hotsenpiller each have three children of their own (some even all grown up) and have added a new kids T-shirt line ($36 each) to their thriving adult collection.
Designed to teach our little ones about environmental and humanitarian issues in a fun way they can understand, we fell for the cute, well-thought, signature characters that help drive Humanity’s messages home on each tee.
Take Henri, the small French car that demonstrates how leeetle cars use less gas (and are therefore easier on the planet). Kai, the southern California surfboard who teaches kids how to keep the oceans clean -- and put trash in its place -- is officially our fave surf-dude. There’s also Nalo, the recycled newspaper from Africa, who teaches kids the 3 R’s (that’s reduce, reuse, and recycle if you needed a refresher course).
School might be out, but these lessons last a lifetime.
