VAN: Mochi Gracias

mochi ga gaVancouver (Aug.21.09)

Nothing beats curling up in our most worn-in loungewear (like our T by Tension sweats). But since babies grow like weeds, most don't have clothes that have softened over time.

Enter the newest (and smallest) addition to Vancouver’s well-known design house Tension. Cuddly from the get-go, Mochi Ga Ga loungewear for babies is now available in select Vancouver stores. Created using super soft, Canadian-made French terry, this line of baby must-haves is about to become our favourite mini-me wardrobe staple.

Following a fashion heart-to-heart with her little one, designer mom Joyce Ma saw the need for practical (but très chic) pint-sized threads. From cozy cargos ($34) to snuggly bear-eared hoodies ($42), these style-savvy pieces come in hues of green, blue and brown that fit right in with our west-coast vibe.

We love the tiered bubble dress ($46) and adore that it grows with our girls (just bustle up the bottom and dare them to grown another inch). For fall, nothing is cuter then Mochi’s reversible, ear-flapping Ga Ga Hat ($21).

In case you were wondering mochi is a Japanese dessert. We can’t think of anything sweeter for our cutie pie.
