We joke that the only riot we saw on our 2005 trip to Paris was at the launch of Stella McCartney's affordable H&M capsule collection. Out of our way Fifi -- that anorak is ours!
Now our style savvy kids can get in on the act with Stella McCartney for Gap Kids ($32-$128). McCartney’s signature muted greys, lavenders and pinks translate beautifully into the offerings for girls. We made a note to pick up the whimsical tutu ($58) for our budding ballerina.
For boys, the line has a definite UK sk8r boi edge with a heroic twist. Superhero jammies ($38) were a surefire hit and the eye-catching Miller jacket ($128) scored points for its unisex factor. (Tutus and dresses excluded, much of the collection could cross the gender line.)
For babies, an heirloom quality knit footless sleeper ($48) had us dreaming of snowy, cosy, holiday mornings. Days of the week underwear, 80s-inspired sneakers and soft cashmere pieces round out the fabulous line.
And in case you were wondering, rumour has it that a girls’ size XXL fits a women’s Medium... Out of our way darling daughter!
