Just because the headlines are plastered with recession, layoffs and cutbacks, doesn’t mean we’re swapping designer duds for hand-me-downs. Our visits to the mall may not be as frequent, but that’s because we’ve found a new destination for indulgence.
When only designer will do, Posh Tots has our 0-12 year olds covered in brands like Crib Rock Couture, Flowers by Zoe, DKNY and more. And if we’re looking for the totally exclusive, there’s always the almost-impossible-to-find-in-Canada Baby Dior collection.
Definitely not everyday garb, but with spring holidays in full swing, we think Swarovski crystals are definitely in order. So we head over to the Candy Bar, filled with bejeweled pacifiers ($146), rattles ($157) and Converse ($96-$113).
And though this store is definitely upscale, there are plenty of options that won’t break the bank. We love the Uncommonly Cute onesies ($27.50) including Famous on Facebook and Miso Cute. And the Blume burp clothes (3/$42) are a great gift idea featuring “eat, drink, burp” in pink or blue.
But since we’re here to splurge, we’ll pick up a pair of Baby Dior ballet slippers ($94), complete with a rhinestone logo and organza bows. Hey, we’re all about doing our part to help the local economy.
