When it’s winter, we obsess about buying sandals and swimsuits before they’re all gone. When it’s summer, thoughts of yarn and adorable handknit accessories occupy our brains. (Must be an unpredictable Canadian weather thing.)
Jun19_SmCal_Knitt_w220_h220.jpgSo when our not-so-secret Etsy addiction lead us to Knittles, we did a little happy dance. Helmed by M and O, two Calgary area crafters armed with “stix,” these knit designs look incredibly cool while giving us the warm fuzzies.

Snug fitting organic cotton baby hats ($22-25) make our bambino look like a mini Brad Pitt. (OK, maybe we’re biased.) Crocheted hats for bigger kids ($18-26) are far too cute to be found hiding in the bushes. And we’re definitely buying summer lace berets ($30) for those mornings when Mommy’s blow dryer time didn’t happen.

Now we’re totally set for that random Calgarian snowfall in July. (Thanks Global Warming!)
