Much to our dismay, hats and gloves are slowly coming out of the closet. Though we’ve done our best to preserve last winter’s favourites, cedar blocks and all, we think a fall refresher might just be in order.
Pompoms aside, we’re in search of something that’ll turn heads, while keeping their keppies warm. Zucchini’s hand-crocheted hats ($33) are certain to have all eyes on their new headgear. From giant-eyed frogs to whiskered raccoons to spotted ladybugs, passers-by will be ooh-ing over their heightened cuteness (which we didn’t think was quite possible).
Handmade in Canada using acrylic yarn, wool and cotton, Valerie Avondo knows a thing or two about fashion, especially when it comes to kids. Inspired by her three children, the collection’s animal hats are sure to be a hit. And the garden collection is truly Anne Geddes-worthy, with flowers in full bloom. Available in sizes XS to XL, so even dad can wear one to make it a family affair.
Now all we need to do insert a nametag and hope their new winter accessories make it home from the head of the class.
